NGC2903

Although not included on the Messier list, NGC2903 is one of the brightest and largest galaxies in Leo. It is a fine multi-arm spiral of type Sb. At magnitude 9 and of size 13.6' x 6', NGC2903 is easily visible in most amateur 'scopes, but being less well known than the Messier objects in Leo is probably missed by many.
